Mainz to Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate Rhine valley views from an Intercity train, Germany - 9th August, 2017
In August 2017 I had a five day break in Germany, travelling from Stuttgart to Düsseldorf. This film features the journey from Mainz to Koblenz via Intercity train. The film was made with a window mounted Veho Muvi action cam.
The railway line from Mainz to Koblenz hugs the River Rhine for much of the route and is one of the most scenic train rides I have experienced in Germany. The beauty of this landscape helped inspire the romantic poetry movement of the 18th and 19th Centuries.
En-route, the train travels through: Mombach, Budenheim, Uhlerborn, Heideshiem, Gau Algesheim, Trechtingshausen, Niederheimbach, Ingelheim, Bingen, Bacharach, Oberwesel, Sankt Goar, Hirzenach, Bad Salzig, Boppard, Spay, Brey, Rhens, and Stolzenfels.
